Time has come for Surya to shine again. The actor is currently busy with preparing himself for two films, Vel and Varanam Aayiram. With Varanam Aayiram is slated to hit theatres only in 2008, Vel, which is being directed by Hari would be released this Deepavali, say sources.
Proving this, Hari was seen offering prayers at Thiruchendur Murugan temple, a practice which the director had never failed to do before starting any new film. On Vel, Hari says, 'the script has been well crafted with all sharpness like its title. Surya, well known for his dedication is equipping himself to fit into the sheme of things.'
Produced by Raja Kaliamman Media Works, Asin plays opposite Surya in Vel. Yuvan Shankar Raja takes care of the musical part with Nasser and Vadivelu acting in important roles.
