As "MovieWeb" reports Summit Entertainment has made a pre-emptive mid-six figures buy for writer Cory Goodman's "The Last Witch Hunter". 
Apparently they want to develop this project into a franchise. Famous Russian-Kazakh director Timur Bekmambetov ("Day Watch", "Night Watch", "Wanted") is currently putting together a deal where he will produce and direct this film.
The story will center around one of the last witch hunters on earth. This person keeps the population of witches and warlocks at a reasonable level.
